About AD Sports and Events and the AD Sports and Events Team
A.D. Sports and Leisure Ltd is based in Hexham in the North East of England and comprises A.D.SPORTS for Children and A.D.EVENTS for wider adult market. The company was initially founded in 1999 to capitalise on founder Andy Deacon’s sporting and business experience and to provide quality sports coaching and fun for youngsters in the North East during the school holidays. The company has extended services to many locations to date now including in school action and adventure activities and adult events planning and organisation.
The company is dedicated to providing quality events for all age groups.
The Team
All of our leaders are qualified to work with youngsters, they have all been CRB checked and range from full time teachers & teacher training undergraduates to experienced leaders from known and reputable providers. Our coaching assistants have also been CRB checked and hold national qualifications and have experience working with youngsters on sports/fun schemes. We also use team members for AD Events projects where possible.

| Carys | Up and coming coach who knows AD Sports well, she is great with the youngsters and has a loyal following. |
| Erin | A new recruit in 2006 Erin has multi sports interests and is working her way through her badges. |
| Ian | Ian is a highly successful and qualified coach with many skills, he runs the trampoline sessions at the Wentworth with a loyal following, he provides adventure games such as crate climbing and bungee running for the youngsters at the Holiday club. Ian has introduced and leads adventure and team building games with great success. |
| Josie | Josie has worked on the trampolining activity with Ian, spotting and successfully helping to organise the numbers for each session. |
| Laura | Laura is a new trampoline coach providing sessions at Prudhoe and at Wentworth when needed. |
| Lill |
Lill was recruited in 2006 and has shown her talents working with arts and crafts and themed days in addition to all the games and activities at AD Sports. |
| Matthew | His enthusiastic leading and coaching is always popular with the youngsters, an accomplished sportsman in addition to his other qualifications, we are seeing him in action with us during his university holidays.Matthew has also helped the AD Events team. |
| Megan | Megan is a new recruit with a wide level of interests and coaching activities from dance to rugby union! She is a charismatic leader and coach. Megan has also helped the AD Events team. |
| Sarah | Big personality and has a great sporting pedigree. Always versatile and imaginative when planning her sessions. |
| Stuart | Stuart began in 2004 at Otterburn and is now leading our new scheme based in Newcastle. A big hit with the kids and a thoughtful coach with many levels of experience. |
| Newcomers | We are delighted to welcome Rachel to assist with trampolining spotting and session numbers. A prospective coach in the making. |
Founder Member
Andy is founder and Director of AD Sports and A.D. Events. His origins and sporting background are mostly linked to playing, coaching, administering and events organisation in Rugby Union. He holds national coaching and refereeing qualifications in Rugby and is actively involved as coach, referee and member at Tynedale RFC.
A.D. Sports was initially founded to capitalise on his sporting and business experience and to provide quality sports coaching and fun for youngsters in the Tynedale area during the school holidays. The company has extended services to include action and adventure activities and AD Events for adults. The AD Sports Holiday Club formula has been taken to a total of 9 locations to date.
Recruitment Message
For AD Sports we are always looking for leaders & assistant coaches to help with our promotional events and activity weeks. Only coaches who have been CRB checked and have the appropriate national coaching awards and relevant experience will be considered. We would particularly welcome applications from final year teachers training students studying PE or Sports Science.
N.B. High on our list of requirements are qualified Football, Tennis & Trampolining coaches.
